The Good Ship America, The Media Ocean and The Obama Iceberg

The Good Ship America, The Media Ocean and The Obama Iceberg

America has since its birth been a place where men and women from around the world could come and have ‘a chance’ to reach their individual desires. It has never been a place freeloaders would seek because real effort was normally required to obtain personal dreams and vision. Until the relatively recent past, the Public Schools tried very hard to teach and make clear the reasons that people were seeking America. American History and Civics were requirements for graduation and were understood to be the foundation for creating a good citizen. (Personal responsibility was also expected in the schools.)

A child miseducated is a child lost.
John F. Kennedy

Education of our children, including civics and government, was meant to assure that future electorates would have a basic understanding of our founding documents, values and principles necessary to create voters who could see a bigger picture than only themselves. America is now in a financial crisis partly because the education system (K-12 and College) has been undermined by socialist and semi-socialist groups that want our people to forget, actually never learn, the system of principles, laws and ethics that have historically made America great. How many of you really believe that the younger generation has sufficient understanding and appreciation for how America came to be?

Today, such groups look to find ways to minimize, take advantage, twist, undermine, and subvert the systems and values in America that used to work for and protect Americans in times of crisis; the education system, the financial systems, the military and law enforcement systems, and the other systems of government.

A young man who does not have what it takes to perform military service is not likely to have what it takes to make a living. Today's military rejects include tomorrow's hard-core unemployed.
John F. Kennedy

Undermining America is the work and agenda of those like ‘education reformer’ and domestic terrorist, William Ayers, who propounded violence to achieve his goals and vision for America.

The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.
John F. Kennedy

The myths told by those like Ayers, Rev. Wright, Acorn, Pelosi, Reid, and yes, Sen. Obama are that America is the root cause of the problems in the world, that businesses are mostly made of evil people out to take everything they can, that everyone is entitled to a government that will meet their every need.

It is the spreading of these myths that allow reason and common sense to be thrown out the window. Social reengineering without a complete understanding of finance and economics has nearly brought America and the World to its knees. It is how the Community Reinvestment Act began the process of forcing banks to make riskier and riskier loans. It is how groups like ACORN gained power and began extorting banks to go even further down the road of riskier loans. It is how Democrats manipulated organizations like Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac into buying up more and more worthless loans and further forcing banks to require higher and higher percentages of loans in neighborhoods with unstable home values. It is how and why the reform efforts of Sen. McCain, Centrist Democrats and Republicans were blocked in their attempts to reform Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac for the past several years. It is how we are here in this mess.

There was a time when bankers knew communities and would sometimes accept a handshake and rest assured that the offer of a hand meant that a loan would be repaid; they were the ethics of the time. To not repay a legitimate debt was a matter that brought shame; and rightly so. Bankers were neighbors, friends, and former classmates, people who were generally held in high regard and felt a genuine sense of duty to the community. Teachers understood that is was important to instill a belief in students that America, while not perfect, is a great country founded by amazing people doing extraordinary things relying on principles that are still relevant today. Most parents taught children to respect the teachers and military service; and teachers respected parents. Where are American Ethics now?

Kill your parents.

William Ayers

The reality is that America is facing a very uncertain and dangerous world with many serious problems. America needs citizens who, in the American spirit, are being innovative and being rewarded for being innovative. The solutions to climate change are not going to come from government seizing power, making proclamations, and attempting to socialize everything it touches. It is going to come from citizens fully engaged in science and innovation to develop solutions that can stand the test of the marketplace and offer rewards to the inventors. Climate change will be solved by science finding ways to REMOVE CO2 from the atmosphere and ways to use the material removed (carbon fiber cars). The reality is that America needs a real commitment to drill our own oil and build nuclear plants to buy time for science and technology to innovate our way out of this situation. The result or effect of socialism on a society is mediocrity; and mediocrity is not something we can afford if we are to survive.

The standard argument against drilling is that it will take 10 years…..to see any benefits. This is more of the myth spreading by far left politician and the media. If a REAL commitment to drilling and nuclear power is announced, oil prices will fall tomorrow based solely on the knowledge of America’s resolve.

Today it seems that America is like a ship sailing in very rough seas. The ocean that she is sailing is full of people, Americans, ready to make a difference and put their shoulders to the problems facing America. However, as we all know, oceans are full of sharks and this ocean is so infested with sharks that it is named the Media Ocean. The Media is trying desperately to shape the information that American needs, support those who have caused our children to become lost and susceptible to lies and distortions, and steer her to a distant point on the horizon that appears as a safe harbor. They, the media, are churning the waters more and more to cause the people to panic, to not be able to see clearly while they are urged to follow the Media’s lead.

But beware America, the point they are steering America to is the Iceberg Obama. Above the water line is an illusion of seductive prose and promises, a nice smile, an invocation of JFK, a calming presence. But lurking beneath the waves is the bulk of the Iceberg Obama, 75% of the reality hidden from view, being covered up by the churning waters the media are creating. It is the Obama that cannot be revealed to the voters because an informed voter would reject him.

The Obama that has a close relationship to William Ayers, the unrepentant terrorist; the group ACORN that is currently embroiled in voter fraud allegations; the hateful Preacher and Spiritual Advisor Jeremiah Wright; the drug use and sexual allegations of Larry Sinclair; the former membership in a Socialist Group in Chicago; the possible violations of the Logan Act by his actions in Iraq and Kenya, the apparent lack of proof that he is even eligible to be President by law; the corruption of Chicago politics where kickbacks, political favors and bribes are the norm; and Tony Rezko, the fund raiser and political mentor of Sen. Obama, must all be ignored, distorted or discredited by the media.

A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.
John F. Kennedy

I agree with President Kennedy’s statement - if only his “open market” premise existed. Tragically, it does not. The media, the Obama campaign, the Democratic leadership are all working to make sure an open market of ideas is not allowed. The media has been for years shaping the news to present the narrative they want America to follow. The media has been failing to report on or investigate legitimate issues that adversely affect their narrative. They manipulate and play with context until what they report fits the storyline. This election season the internet is being scrubbed of critical information that opposes Sen. Obama’s campaign. Several internet sites are being censored by some of the search engines so people can’t easily find important information.

Maybe the quote could be rewritten:

A Media that is afraid to let the people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a Media that is up to some nefarious crap.

The reality appears to be that there is a hidden agenda that is trying to emerge and dominate American politics through Sen. Obama’s manufactured ascension.

Sen. Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the media all love and need chaos and panic in America so they can hold power. It’s up to all of us to research, look behind curtain, and stick our heads underwater to see the bottom of the iceberg that threatens America.

Communism has never come to power in a country that was not disrupted by war or corruption, or both.
John F. Kennedy

Likewise - a candidate, with as many suspect people and hate filled agendas in his past as Obama, could not possibly come to power without the aid of the media in creating panic and the false illusion of Obama as “The One”. The MEDIA is a big part of the Corruption that JFK would be referring if he were alive today.

Allowing a person to be elected President with such an unexamined and secret life, must not be allowed.

The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings.
John F. Kennedy
